I was able to secure the last room by using the app which makes traveling a lot easier. I was attending a nearby conference as was told I would have a hotel room by the promoter, but he overbooked and I was not willing to room with another individual along with my wife. My wife and I stayed at this location by default as our hotel of choice had been overbooked. Best part of the stay is that my unassuming 8 year old daughter got some free toiletries.… The curved shower curtain rod was almost ripped out of the wall and was hanging so that the shower curtain just slid to the middle of the rod and the curtain wouldn’t stay closed and water ended up all over the floor. The sink was clogged, the toilet seat was painted white to cover up some dents and chips. The refrigerator had a brown powder (probably just coffee grounds) in it and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. The beds were fine and the linens seemed clean-ish. But they didn’t have any outdoor seating either (since the pool was closed), so we all had to stay in our rooms. Being kicked out of the lobby wasn’t a huge disappointment since it smelled like weed anyway. (I completely understand that this isn’t the hotel’s fault or an employees fault.). Because of COVID, we weren’t allowed to gather in the lobby. We traveled with two other families, so we thought we’d hang out in the lobby. We got here and the pool is full of brown water. One of the reasons my family chose this hotel is because they assured me their outdoor pool would be open. I called several hotels in the area (we knew we’d be traveling through) to see if pools were open. What really topped it, I get up the next morning to take a shower, I go to move the shower curtain from one side of the pole to the other….there’s a washcloth hanging over the shower curtain, from a previous guest □ So you get what you pay for that’s for sure! Next time I will spend the extra $85 and stay somewhere nice!!… To be honest, it gave me the heebie jeebies to stay here, but we were exhausted. I flip on the light, then flip on the bathroom light, to find this (see pics). First of all, wouldn’t you think if you had people checking in, you would have the room heated up for your guests. So we waited, finally got the key to our room…. Don’t get me wrong, once we were waited on, the guy was very friendly. It became a big deal when all we wanted to do was get into our room & relax after driving 5 hours, but the 2 employees decided catching up on their own gossip was more important than checking us in.
